THE "C" WORD

Yup, the "C" word. And no, I am not talking about the "C" word that Howard Stern couldn't wait to start using once he moved to Satellite Radio. (Did I mention that my daughter gave me Sirius Satellite Radio, the gift of Howard Stern, for my birthday? She knows me so well already.)

No, the "C" word I am referring to is Colic. And we are pretty sure Amanda has it.

It has been a rough, rough week. I am waiting for a call back from her doctor, to see if he will take a look at her today and try to figure out what is going on. I am aware that, if it is colic, there is really nothing that we can do except deal with it and wait for it to pass. But man, this is tough. Yesterday, the only times she stopped screaming was to eat. Very sad.

Therefore, again I find myself explaining why my posts are so sporadic these days. I am sure everyone out there understands and is giving me some slack, and I appreciate it.

We have signed up for a free infant massage clinic this Saturday at the local hospital, designed specifically for colicky babies. Interestingly enough, we signed up for this class before the onset of the colic. It is as if we knew this was coming.

Anthony's mom said he had colic until he was five months old. YIKES.

Let's hope the doctor can do SOMETHING for her. It sucks to watch her scream and scream and not be able to do anything at all to soothe her.
